Hailey Dufresne
Registered Psychologist
I am a registered psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology from the University of Yorkville and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Athabasca University.
Since completing my graduate studies, I initially focused on the counseling side of psychology. However, I have recently broadened my practice to include psychological assessments. I am currently conducting psychological assessments under supervision for school-age students, children, and adults. My focus is on identifying and helping clients understand the challenges related to Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disabilities, Specific Learning Disorders, Giftedness, Anxiety, Depression, Adjustment Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, and Trauma-Related Stress Disorders. I aim to provide tailored assessments that help individuals find success in their workplace or classroom settings.
My goal is to create a comfortable, safe space while using standardized assessments to provide accurate diagnoses and recommendations that you can trust and feel confident in.
While assessments follow standardized procedures, I prioritize a personalized approach for each client, offering valuable insights, tailored recommendations, and a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable asking questions, understanding the assessment process and results, and confidently applying the information to their daily lives.
A collaborative environment empowers clients on their path to growth, helping them better understand their diverse needs and behaviors.
Collaboration with educators, parents, spouses, and allied health professionals is a cornerstone of the assessment process. I believe it works best when there is open communication, empathy, and a shared goal of helping the client thrive! Families play a crucial role in the assessment process, so I make sure their voices are heard and valued every step of the way. By working closely with children and/or adults (and their support systems), I aim to empower and strengthen the entire family unit, helping them build resilience, confidence, and a sense of well-being.
Let’s Collaborate on Your Goals!
Let’s work together to create a personalized assessment plan that uncovers any underlying challenges, connects you with the right support, and provides actionable recommendations to help you move forward with confidence.
