I am a Psychology student, with experience in administering psychometrics and offering support with psychological assessment.

I am currently completing the final year of my Honors Psychology degree at the University of Alberta. Through my studies, I have become passionate about providing support to individuals within a mental health setting. As a part of my undergraduate degree, I completed a yearlong internship at Millard Health, where I administered psychometrics and biofeedback services to clients experiencing workplace barriers due to physical injuries and psychological conditions. This internship provided me a glimpse into the world of a psychologist, and my passion to pursue this profession only grew. I also participated in other opportunities throughout my schooling, where I provided care and companionship to group home residents with Alberta Hospital and volunteered at other mental health clinics.

Throughout my studies, I have taken a special interest in childhood and adolescent development. Through research opportunities in my undergrad, I have had the opportunity to explore how mental health plays a role in children’s peer relationships and academic outcomes. This is an area that I am very passionate about and wish to incorporate into my future practice.

I am on track to finish my undergraduate degree in the Spring of 2024, and I am excited to start graduate studies this Fall at Concordia University of Edmonton’s Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology program. This program will offer me training in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and therapy. I am eager to take this next step in my career, which will help me prepare to become a Registered Psychologist. I hope to one day work as a psychologist, with a special focus on conducting psychological assessments.
