Sarah Melville
Clinical Director // Registered Psychologist
I am a Registered Psychologist who specializes in Psychological Testing and Assessments for children, youth, and adults.
I hold a Master of Education degree in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary. Since the completion of my graduate studies, my expertise and interest lie in assessing and addressing the unique needs of children, youth, and adults within educational and clinical settings. I have training, and supervision in conducting psychological assessments in the areas of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disabilities, Specific Learning Disorders, Anxiety, and Depression.
My goal while working with every client, is to provide useful information, tailored recommendations, and create a space in which you feel comfortable asking questions, learning about the assessment and outcome, and feel confident applying the shared information in your everyday life.
I stem from a highly collaborative and strength-based approach in order to make you feel involved and supported.
It is my belief that in order to make a true impact, there needs to be collaboration with multiple people who impact an individuals life. Working with, and collaborating with parents, families, teachers, and involved healthcare professionals is a key step towards making positive change. The relationship that is created during an assessment needs to have a foundation of trust, respect, and compassion.
My goal for anyone who walks through my door is that they leave feeling more confident, understood, supported, and equipped with the knowledge they need in order to better learn, grow, advocate, and making positive changes.
I have multiple years of experience supporting individuals, families, and schools through the challenges they face and have a strong appreciation for the challenges you may be experiencing. Additionally, my experience working in various settings with these different population provides me with a valuable skill in truly being able to empathize different points of view and tie that experience together to ensure everyone feels heard, supported, and understood.
