Sahana Rajkumar
Registered Provisional Psychologist
I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and hold a Master of Counselling degree in Psychology from City University.
I have specialized training in assessment, including clinical interviewing, mental status examinations, test interpretation, case conceptualization, and writing comprehensive, strengths-based assessment reports.
My clinical interests include psychoeducational assessments, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments. I strive to ensure that every evaluation is tailored to the individual, with recommendations that are practical, meaningful, and supportive of long-term growth and success.
I take a compassionate, collaborative, and strength-based approach that values each client’s resilience and unique story.
I have worked with children (3+), adolescents, caregivers, and adults navigating the impacts of trauma and stress. My work often involves supporting caregivers and larger systems to better understand, manage, and grow from stressful life experiences. My passion lies in advocating for anti-oppressive practices and supporting diverse communities. Over the past decade, I have gained experience within academic, legal, and medical systems, witnessing how systemic pressures can create barriers to well-being. These experiences reinforced my belief in the importance of timely and accurate assessment to connect individuals with the right resources, supports, and opportunities. They also shaped my commitment to creating safe, supportive, and collaborative spaces for both healing and evaluation.
My goal is to help clients achieve clarity, healing, and growth by meeting them where they are and fostering empowerment and resilience through curiosity, compassion, and evidence-based practice.
Above all, I am committed to walking alongside clients in their journeys, supporting them in building coping strategies, accessing resources, and creating meaningful change in their lives.
