Jessica Scott

Psychological Assistant

I am a Psychological Assistant with a decade of experience working extensively with children and adolescents in diverse settings, including schools, community programs, and one-on-one support. Before joining Onyx, I was fortunate to work as a psychometrist at a clinical psychology practice, where I closely supported forensic disability clients throughout their assessment experiences. My previous work and lived experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the uniqueness of each individual and the importance of creating environments that meet their needs. I have witnessed firsthand the growth and well-being that result from personalized support and the challenges that may arise in its absence. These experiences have reinforced my belief in assessments' valuable role in empowering clients. By gaining a deeper understanding of their strengths and challenges, clients can learn to appreciate who they are, access tailored support services, and identify environments where they can thrive.

I am currently a second-year Master of Counselling student at Athabasca University. Following my graduate studies, I intend to specialize in counselling and assessments for children, youth, and their families.
