Ava Tassone

Administrative Assistant
I am currently a third-year student at the University of Alberta, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology.

In my volunteer role at Onyx Assessments, I assist the team with various administrative tasks. I am eager to deepen my understanding of psychological assessments and their impact on an individual's life and well-being. After completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to pursue a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology and am passionate about focusing my future work on supporting individuals struggling with addiction.

My genuine interest in mental health, human behavior, and thought processes has driven my commitment to assisting others facing difficulties. I believe that everyone experiences challenges and successes, and that supportive guidance benefits us all. This belief is the reason I have decided to pursue Psychology as a career—I aim to support individuals through both difficult and positive life experiences. Outside of my academic pursuits, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends and family, exploring new cafés, and my favourite thing of all is expanding my vinyl record collection. Collecting vinyl records is one of my greatest passions, as I find great satisfaction in discovering unique albums and building a collection that reflects my emotions and life experiences through sound!
